It is our aim at Jamarqui to produce happy healthy puppies that are fit for purpose. This means that every hound we bred can be used for what it was meant to be used for. (not that there is much call for wolf hunting in the UK ) They are of substance with wonderful temperaments. Beauty, brains and health.
When choosing a suitable stud dog, if we are looking outside our kennel, we study the pedigree making sure that both the bloodlines from the dam and sire compliment each other. The latest winning hound or champion is not necessarily the one that is best for the dam. And this is one point that we never take in consideration when we are breeding.
We breed roughly every three years, and we never use the same bitch more than twice, more than often we breed from a bitch just the once.
Our puppies stay with us until 15 weeks of age, they leave us fully vaccinated and microchipped. They take with them a full puppy pack containing details of worming, vaccinating, personality, likes, dislikes, a blanket, a toy, full health check, enough kibble for a week, collar and leash. We promise that if for some reason the puppy cannot stay with his/her family we will take the puppy back no matter at what age the hound is. The hound, if no longer a puppy, will stay at Jamarqui.
