Imported from Malaga in February 2007 as a 3 year old. He was originally bred for the bull ring and had indeed been broken in and used to fight bulls, leaving him terrified of any other animals and of being ridden. He had a deep rooted fear of humans and could not trust.
With the help of the professionals I have around me he now trusts people and is no longer fearful of other horses and seems to enjoys being ridden and working. We have come through some really difficult issues but Daniel has proven time and again that he is a very special boy trying his very hardest to do as asked, although he can through toys across the room when he is in the mood to do so. He is showing great promise for the dressage arena, he has elastic athletic paces, a perfect easy ground covering canter and intelligence. We are bringing him on slowly to produce a top quality dressage horse. He is now being competed at the high end of Novice and lower end of Elementary
Daniel is the clown and escape artist of the yard, finding different "toys" to amuse himself and no doubt the other equines, throwing his treat ball at unsuspecting passers by is a trick he finds most amusing and helpful as he usually gets it back with more treats in it. He is a loveable rouge who has a cheeky sense of humor. He is an absolute dream horse, wonderful in every way
We are delighted to announce that the great ex Olympian Equestrian competitor, Martin Greet is now Daniels competition rider and our coach
Jonah is a cheeky little chap, he is an accomplished lock breaker, getting out of his stable at regular intervals, to steal hay when he has eaten all his. He has a stable full of toys to try and keep him occupied!! He is the funniest little horse I have ever come across, he keeps the whole yard laughing at his antices. I am so thrilled to have him.
In his work he is fairly green still, but none the less he is willing to give his best and takes mistakes in his stride, he is learning to accept the bit and move forward keeping his balance and shape.
We are thrilled to have Sam Faulder training us in Liberty work which Jonah really enjoys as it is using his brain and keeping him busy thinking, although Jonah is showing a passion for show jumping, he has a very careful style keeping cool and calm despite the obvious excitement he feels, we plan on entering him into a few small fun shows to see how he goes, Liberty work will be the ultimate goal with this young man, hopefully Daniel will join in, but he has his job which he is excelling in
We have a bright future with this lovely sweet very honest boy
